Safe Harbors of the Hudson, a large scale redevelopment project in the City of Newburgh that combines housing and the arts, is hosting monthly informational tours.

Tours last approximately one hour and are held on the second Tuesday of each month at 9 a.m. Attendees should enter through our main entrance at 111 Broadway, Newburgh and check in with Security. Visit our events calendar to see when the next tour is taking place.

Safe Harbors, whose mission is transforming lives and building communities through housing and the arts, purchased the old Hotel Newburgh in 2002 and turned the blighted eyesore into the Cornerstone Residence. Named Supportive Housing Network of New York’s “Residence of the Year” in 2007, the Cornerstone is home to 128 adults including the formerly homeless, veterans, those living with mental health diagnoses, artists and low income working adults in need of affordable housing. The project also includes the Safe Harbors of the Hudson Ann Street Gallery, a contemporary arts venue, and the Lobby at the Ritz, live performing arts space.

The tours highlight how Safe Harbors’ transformative supportive housing, award-winning contemporary art gallery and performing arts theater is instrumental to the revitalization of downtown Newburgh. All attendees will be entered in a drawing to win tickets to an upcoming concert at the Lobby at the Ritz!

Free parking is available on Liberty Street, Ann Street and the Ann Street municipal lot behind our building, or metered parking on Broadway.
