The Safe Harbors Ann Street Gallery proudly announces THREAD, a performance art series spanning over seven-weeks with the next performance on Saturday, June 4 at 8 p.m.
Each Saturday from May 21st through July 2nd the THREAD performance art series will feature a new performance by eleven different visiting artists to include: Rae Goodwin (Kentucky), Máiréad Delaney (Vermont), Nyugen E. Smith (NYC), Ian Deleon (Brooklyn), Tif (Brooklyn), Tande (NYC) ,Vela Phelan (Massachusetts), Alice Vogler (Massachusetts), Hector Canonge (NYC) Joseph Ravens (Illinois), and Brian McCorkle (NYC).
THREAD was co-curated by Thomas Albrecht and Virginia Walsh.
Thomas Albrecht performance art projects have explored ritual and language in public spaces, galleries, and museums, prodding cultural beliefs and individual doubts. Albrecht received his BFA from RISD, a MA in Religion from Yale, and his MFA from the Universtity of Washington. He presently serves as Assistant Dean at SUNY New Paltz.
Virginia Walsh is the Director and Curator of Exhibitions at the Ann Street Gallery.
