In early 2011, the Board of Safe Harbors of the Hudson developed a three-year strategic plan. Building on our core mission of providing housing, support and opportunity for our tenants, the plan detailed a vision for the expansion of the organization. Safe Harbors and the Ritz would work in concert to spur the redevelopment of downtown Newburgh; we would secure dynamic tenants for our Broadway commercial space, pursue opportunities to replicate our unique housing model and create a vibrant arts scene on lower Broadway, serving as a catalyst for cultural tourism and renewed community pride.
