Theresa is the Director of Fine and Performing Arts for the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Therapy, a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and an Advanced Study Certification in School Administration. She moved to the area 25 years ago to serve as a music therapist with special education children. Her career continued as a music educator in the Washingtonville School District and then the Newburgh Enlarged City School District. After 15 years as a music educator in Newburgh, she became the Director of Fine and Performing Arts. She continues to develop alliances between the school district and community organizations by coordinating student volunteers and performers for various organizations and events, organizing student art exhibits throughout the community and supporting the work of local performers and artists.
